Speaking from the Grave

  1. Discovered notes in my late husband's Baptist Hymnal
Many of you know of my late husband, a music minister, who picked out many a hymnal lineup for our services. As I was looking for Andrae Crouch songs with his recent passing, I discovered this small hidden note of songs Norman was selecting for a service. Many relate to Heaven, leaving this earth in which he did on Jan. 5, 1998 at the age of 41.
  2. So, let's hear what could be Norman's last message to us from the heartfelt choices of song selection he used to minister to his people. Maybe he wanted to tell me something? Or you? Or maybe, I just like thinking that he lived these words, and was very happy to go home.
  3. Either way, its a comfort and who doesn't need a little reminder. My next series of posts, will be those songs that he has left for us and in a way, his last music director act on this earth.
  4. Wow, I can almost hear him singing this in his Vince Gill voice while strumming a guitar.....
  5. The first song on the list:

  1. Where Could I Go but to the Lord
    J.B. Coats
  2. Living below in this old sinful world
    Hardly a comfort can afford
Striving alone to face temptation so
    Now won't you tell me
Where could I go but to the Lord
Where could I go oh where could I go
Seeking the refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to save me in the end
    Won't you tell me
Where could I go but to the Lord
Life here is grand with friends I love so dear
Comfort I get from God's own word
Yet when I face that chilling hand of death
    Won't you tell me
Where could I go but to the Lord
Where could I go but to the Lord
Where could I go oh where could I go
Seeking the refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to save me in the end
    Won't you tell me
Where could I go but to the Lord
